How a small gym should compare strength and conditioning software

Score four things first. Price at your real roster. Who the product is for. What you do in it on a busy night. Whether you can start without a card or a call.

Price you can read

L4 prints CAD on the site. Under 25 active athletes, the platform is free. After that: $99.99 a month up to 500, $139.99 from 501 to 1,000, and $199.99 from 1,001 to 2,000. HST depends on where the gym is billed. No setup fee. No per-coach fee. Booking is $100 a month on top. The free rung does not remove it.

The pricing calculator counts an athlete who completed a session in the last 90 days, or who holds a program assignment now. Archive a leaver and the rung can fall on the next invoice. US gyms can sign up. Prices stay in CAD. Check a roster on the pricing calculator.

TeamBuildr lists Strength in public. The pricing page shows Silver at $900 per year, Gold at $1,500, and Platinum at $2,000. The FAQ says annual billing is 10 times the monthly rate, monthly Strength starts at $90 for up to 50 athletes, and the top listed tier is $280 a month for up to 1,000. Caps on the compare table are 50, 250, 500, and 1,000. Coaches are unlimited on every Strength tier. AMS is $50 a month. OS, for members, scheduling, and payments, is $200 a month. Strength plus OS starts at $275 a month. Past 1,000 athletes, you talk to sales. Those pages do not say CAD.

The Bridge homepage shows no price. The personal-trainer page does: $49 a month for 15 clients and one trainer, $69 for 35 clients and one trainer, $167 for 100 clients and up to 10 trainers. Over 100 clients, contact them. No CAD or USD label on that page. The strength-coach page lists 70, 250, 750, and 1,000 athletes and points to sales@bridgeathletic.com. No dollar figure on that page.

TrainHeroic prints a dollar ladder on the coach page. One athlete is $9.99 a month. Marks include $44.99 up to 25, $74.99 up to 50, $99.99 up to 100, $199.99 up to 500, and $399.99 up to 1,000. Past 1,000, contact them. Assistant coaches are $9.99 a month. The page does not say CAD or USD.

Who it is built for

TeamBuildr's homepage covers pro teams, colleges, high schools, private gyms, and tactical groups. Strength, AMS, and OS are separate products. A two-coach youth gym should ask which ones it will open.

Bridge's homepage names studios, clubs, high schools, youth groups, and tactical units. Lower trainer prices are one-trainer plans. The strength-coach page shows no price.

TrainHeroic speaks to in-person and remote coaches, including coaches who sell programs in a marketplace.

L4 bills the facility. Unlimited coaches sit on every rung, including free. One free facility per business. The free-tier note names a new trainer, a garage gym, and a new school program. Subscription, home-program, and booking revenue can pay the facility back. The agreement sets the split.

What the coach does in it

You write the training, assign it, and check who did the work on a phone or a shared screen.

L4 starts with 200-plus movements that have cues. A library of 1,000-plus is available, and the site says you can add your own with no limit. A testing day can mix sprints, jumps, and lifts, and rankings update before people leave. Leaderboards and a rack or wall display are in the product. Packs, reminders, and a 24-hour cancel cutoff are the booking add-on.

Coaches who already program in Claude or ChatGPT can connect that chat to L4 athletes and programs. It is a custom connector, not a store listing.

In TeamBuildr Strength you build periodized programs on a calendar or with no dates. Athletes log them in the app or a weight-room view. The homepage says Strength includes 16 reports. Velocity and force-plate integrations sit on Platinum Pro, per the pricing FAQ.

Bridge trainer plans list templates, 3,000-plus movements, tablet coaching, nutrition, and payments. The strength-coach page adds a multi-athlete tablet view and edits during the session.

TrainHeroic delivers to one athlete or a team. You review video, chat, track who trained, add a logo, and can sell a program in the marketplace.

Free, trial, or a call

Under 25 active athletes, L4 is free. The site does not call it a trial. Setup is self-serve: no roster import and no call. Booking is still $100 a month if you turn it on.

TeamBuildr offers a free trial with no credit card. They send a single team to the trial, and a gym, department, or multi-team buyer to a demo. The trial skips the admin dashboard, cross-team reporting, and OS and AMS.

TrainHeroic offers 14 days free. No credit card.

Those Bridge pages do not state a trial length.

How a small gym should score it

Four lines. Bill at your active count, in the currency on the page. Does coach two cost more. Does the free start expire. Can you assign a training week with no sales call.

L4 answers those lines with CAD rungs, no per-coach fee, and a free start under 25 that is not a trial. Read booking before you turn it on.
